Integrating emergy and economic analysis by simultaneously assessing environmental impacts and production costs provides a comprehensive perspective on the efficiency of agricultural systems. The present study aimed to Evaluation of emergy and economic indices in the camelina production system in Lorestan province, Iran. The required information was collected through a questionnaire and face-to-face interviews with 69 camellia farmers for the 2022-2023 cropping year. Based on the results, the average total supporting emergy was determined to be 8.67E+15 solar emjoules per hectare per year. The highest share of emergy input was attributed to non-renewable environmental inputs (N₀), including soil erosion losses (64.87%) and groundwater use (14.51%). The system's dependence on non-renewable environmental inputs significantly impacted environmental sustainability. Emergy indices showed that while Camelina sativa has economic advantages, optimal use of resources is essential to reduce environmental pressure. From the perspective of economic efficiency, the benefit to cost ratio was determined to be 1.78, indicating the profitability of this product. However, to strengthen the economic potential of Camelina sativa cultivation in the province, improving resource management, using renewable energy, and reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers and fossil fuels can help increase its profitability and sustainability.
