Abstract

In order to evaluate the effects of two types of fertilizers (iron fertilizer and humic acid) on functional traits and the physiology of two safflower Cultivars, This Research was conducted in the 2022 cropping year at Ardabil Research Center. Two investigated safflower cultivars were Goldasht and Chinese cultivars (xys). The design was done in the form of split plot and randomized complete block design in 3 replications. Fertilizer levels include control level, 2000 ppm and 4000 ppm humic acid 95% Levels; The iron fertilizer was 12% EDTA (1000 ppm and 2000 ppm levels) and four different levels of iron fertilizer and humic acid together. In fact, fertilizer factor had 9 levels. According to the observations, the Goldasht variety recorded a significantly higher yield than the Chinese variety with 1462.5 kg per hectare. The yield of Chinese variety was 1406.3 kg/ha. For the fertilizer factor, The Best yield was obtained by applying the second level of iron fertilizer and the second level of humic acid together, which resulted in a yield of 1694.1 kg/ha. None of the factors had a significant impact on the seed oil percentage. it was observed that the combined foliar application of the second levels of both iron and humic fertilizers had the highest amounts of greenness (SPAD values) both before and after flowering, which were 66 and 55.3, respectively. Overall, the Goldasht variety had superiority over the Chinese variety.
